About the Editor

I have extensive experience in all areas of the communications field including advertising, writing, editing, marketing, and public relations. I am also fluent in many technical applications such as Content Management Systems, OpenX, InDesign, PhotoShop, Microsoft Office, and more.

Since October 2010 I have been the Director of Advertising Operations at Bisnow Media, an internet media company based in Washington D.C. In my role I coordinate and execute nearly 300 campaigns simultaneously across 28 daily e-newsletters in 21 markets around the country. I work with clients, primarily in the Real Estate industry, daily to design ads for their online campaigns and provide regular statistical analysis of the progress throughout, and after, the campaign.

Prior to my role at Bisnow, I served in a in a top editorial position at BizBash Media—a trade publication for the special events industry—since 2007. Originally hired as an assistant editor of the Miami/South Florida publication, I was promoted to editor after just under two months at the company. During the first two years in this role, I also wrote all of the marketing and sales materials for the company. In 2009 I was once again promoted to the Miami Bureau Chief position where I coordinated, wrote, and edited all of the daily editorial for both the Miami and Orlando web sites as well as developed content for our quarterly magazine edition. Since moving to Washington, I have continued on with the company in a freelance capacity for its local web site and publication educating myself on the key players in the city.

In April 2010, I launched a book review and Southern lifestyle blog, TheBelleBeat, and have successfully used social media to increase the daily traffic to the site, at one point reaching more than 2,000 hits in a single day.

I received a Bachelor of Science of Communication degree, with a double concentration of print journalism and psychology, from the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. I have worked throughout the communications field including at a top marketing and polling firm, Zogby International and two local Miami publications —The Miami SunPost newspaper and D’LUXE magazine, a lifestyle publication for the affluent South Florida community.

Since moving to D.C. I’ve ingrained myself in the local event community and look forward to continuing to share insights with you the greatest events, marketing materials/messages, venues, and more.
